Apple HQ

Work has started on Apple HQ. Apple HQ is an 85m tall office building with a little inspiration from Bahrain WTC.

Won't be spending too much time on it, as I have several other projects to finish and start.

ARENA: done?

All in all, this is by far the heaviest model I have ever made. 19.428 million edges. Wanted a lot of trees as this provides some green space that the entire project lacks. Project should be uploaded tomorrow in three versions - just the ARENA, the ARENA with the landscape turned off (can be turned on in sections under layers), and finally, the ARENA with the landscape turned on.

Total capacity of ARENA is 21,742

This may well be the final update on the progress of ARENA. I only have a few things left to do, then it will be uploaded. Some progress renders

Restaurant - this is a simple little restaurant and outdoor dining area.

Outdoor basketball courts

This outdoor basketball court is made for my ARENA project, and designed to house youth basketball competitions. Netting can be found here. Seating for 384 people.

EDIT: In its proper place on the lot, with the trees and walkway around it.

New layout, features, more

I'm sure you've noticed the changes to the blog. Here is a rundown of the additional functionality added.

• Stars - Now, you can give a rating to each post. Replacing the funny, interesting and cool options are *****, ****, ***, **, *. Digging a project? Give it *****, five stars!. Not digging it? Give it *, one star!. 
• Follow by email - Now, instead of having to check the blog page every couple of days to see if I have updated it, you can enter your email in the box in the right hand column and receive an email when the next post is added. And no, you won't receive any spam ;).
• Hit counter - Down the bottom of the page is a hit counter, showing the hits I received in the last while. 

And then, of course, is the radical changes to the blog design. I've reworked the blog from a whole new template. It is all about keeping the blog fresh and looking new. What do you think of it, my readers, as you are the most important individuals on here. Any new features you want added? Please tell me and I will endeavour to add them.

OK, I will be uploading some sketches of the two proposed designs for AVICA Park, a proposed home stadium for Gold Coast United. Both of these will be properly modelled and rendered over the coming months, but I wanted to show you a little bit of the process that goes into making each design.
