Nou Mestalla (2021) Render-Prep Diary: Part 1

September 23: The first day of rendering. I remember the day well. I'd just got my second jab and got home to start render preparation. Step one was focused on the buildings. I was really pleased with how they'd come out, so I wanted to crack on with them. This is a night-time view of them.

September 23: And the day-time equivalent

September 23: A more up-close version in the daytime

September 23: And the night equivalent

September 23: Up-close, showing off the effect. I really liked it.

September 23: Initial test renderings on the exterior

September 23: A closer up view of the exterior

September 23: A test view of the interior

September 23: A more up close view of the interior

September 23: Test render of the interior during daytime with the main lights turned on. Needs work

September 23: And the nighttime equivalent

September 23: Site overview at night

September 24: Working on the road and trees along the main entrance. It came out alright, but I could have done a lot better.

September 24: Street level view

September 24: Aerial overview

September 24: An aerial overview of the site during the day

September 24: And during the night. I was working on getting the concourse lighting done.

September 24: Working on the field lighting.

Nou Mestalla (2021) Construction Diary: Part 6

September 13: An interior view

September 13: And an exterior one

September 16: Adding some patterns to the seating bowl. I liked the idea of it - white into orange into black - but I don't think it came out as well as I had wanted.

September 17: The full view. Lower bowl looked OK, but the upper two weren't as good.

September 17: Another view

September 18: The VIP tier open area. They're located at both ends

September 19: I think I just liked this view

September 20: An up-close view of the crowd at the home end

September 20: Even more up-close

September 21: Finally getting the roof taken care of. Simple cable system supporting the central roof section, with covers over the cables.

September 21: Interior view with the new roof

September 21: Up close view of the new roof

September 22: Working on the lighting rig

September 22: Another interior view with the lighting rig.

This is the last update of the 'construction diary' part, as the rest of the work is centered around preparing to render the site. I'll be uploading the process of them soon.

Small Stadium (2022-2023)

Small Stadium is a small stadium (original, right?) with 5972 seats and 72 wheelchair spaces. It's located in a park, and in my mind is the counterpart to the Regional Stadium I made last year. Really happy with how it came out, even though I am not keen on how the trees displayed relative to the buildings behind them.

Keen eyes will likely recognise the buildings from my Untitled City last year - they're copy-pasted out of that model.
