Ghost of Tsushima inspired landscape (2023)

So I have been playing Ghost of Tsushima lately (play it if you haven't - it's great). I've also been learning Twinmotion (slowly) and recognised a lot of the same sort of assets used between the two. I made a landscape inspired by the game, repurposing a few of the buildings from my Fury Islands model. The terrain was modelled in Sketchup using Artisan, before adding the plants and rocks and that in Twinmotion. Modelling and Twinmotion setup took about an hour, and about 15 minutes to render it out. For the amount of time and work I put in, I think it's fantastic and I am really looking forward to seeing where I go with the processes and Twinmotion itself.

Apologies in advance for the awful painting with the flowers. I didn't realise as the time. I'll get the hang of it soon enough.

I love how both sides of the path have completely different feels.

Fox is going to lead you here...

Trying my best to mask the awful paint job I did on the flowers. Also, way, way too high a density.

A little sprinkling of snow

Regional Stadium (2022) - Learning the seasons in Twinmotion

A summer night shot

In autumn

A snowy winter

Pouring rain

Snowfall

Two minutes of work in Twinmotion on my Regional Stadium model. I'm still learning the program, but it's really powerful and it creates these sort of effects that I like. Hopefully my skillset improves with it quickly (I've only used it a few times), but having seen this makes me confident to continue.

Stadium crowd (2023)

I saw a request by Liverpudlian82 on Skyscrapercity to add a crowd model to their stadium. It's a near 60,000 seat venue, and I saw it as a good opportunity to test out my crowd model on a much larger stadium than I normally design. The crowd model held up well (despite ending up being very heavy), and I think the end result looks great.

I've also been learning Twinmotion (slowly) over the last few weeks, so I would love to see how this looks in there. Twinmotion might actually handle the weight of it better than Sketchup did.

Nou Mestalla (2021) Render-Prep Diary: Part 2

September 24: Testing the lighting at night - exterior shot

September 24: And the interior

September 25: Since working on the surrounding buildings, Google Street View had updated, showing me the completed form of the model under construction. Here's the night view

September 25: And the day view. I thought that it would be a pretty simple building to make, but it was actually a lot more difficult to get things lined up right. In the end, I just got it close enough and left it.

September 25: Overview with the new building in place

September 25: Working on getting the ferns looking right

September 26: More work on the ferns

September 26: Looking at them in context

September 26: Working on the interior lighting - day test

September 26: And night test

September 26: Setting up some mood lighting on the other side of the lighting rig.

September 26: An up-close view of the mood lighting.

September 27: View from the corner

September 27: More lighting work.

September 27: Another view.
